The DVD version of Avatar can have an "alternative" love story for Jake

We ask James Cameron to let the public decide. If they want a depiction of heterosexuality, they already got that with the theatrical version of Avatar. Why not a DVD version of Avatar where Jake gets to explore his sexuality instead?  How about making the people of Pandora Transgender or bi-sexual? Or perhaps Jake should fall in love with a "male" Pandoran.

The point being, James Cameron has both the resources and opportunity to make this happen. There are no legitimate excuses for him not to.

The Struggle Continues. The DVD version of Avatar needs to be inclusive

Avatar was denied the Oscar for Best Film by the Oscar Academy and for this we are thankful.  Thousands of people around the world protested Avatar on March 7, 2010.  Yesterday was a day for progressive free-thinkers everywhere to take a stand against gender imperialism, American corporate-greed and ignorance.

It seems likely that a DVD version of Avatar will be released to the public at some point.  Because of this, the struggle is not yet over.  An Avatar DVD would give James Cameron and others the chance to express points of view and to state information that could be false, ignorant or even hateful.  This cannot be allowed.

DVD's allow for films to include alternative scenes and discussion.  There is an opportunity here for correction.   James Cameron has an opportunity to address past wrongs and to create a version of Avatar that acknowledges and celebrates diversity and Evolution.
